Biography:

Obi-Wan Kenobi is a prominent Jedi Master in the Star Wars universe, first appearing in *Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope* (1977), portrayed by Alec Guinness. He serves as a mentor to both Anakin Skywalker and later, Luke Skywalker, guiding them in the ways of the Force.

The prequel trilogy, including *Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith*, explores Obi-Wan's earlier life, with Ewan McGregor portraying a younger Obi-Wan. These films depict his training under Qui-Gon Jinn, his role in the Clone Wars, and his tragic confrontation with his former apprentice, Anakin, who falls to the dark side and becomes Darth Vader.

Following the events of *Revenge of the Sith*, Obi-Wan goes into hiding on Tatooine, watching over Luke Skywalker from afar until Luke is old enough to begin his Jedi training.
